Hi! I’m Mrs. Drovdal and I love teaching 4th grade at Burlington/DesLacs Elementary! It’s a fun grade filled with lots of learning and new adventures!
I grew up in the small town of Karlsruhe which is located about 45 miles east of Burlington. I even played basketball against the Lakers in high school! I have 2 brothers and a sister. I am the 2nd oldest. I received both my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from Minot State University. Go Beavers!
After receiving my Bachelor’s degree I taught 3rd and 4th grades for 3 years in Lansford and 2 years in Bismarck. When we moved back to Minot, I spent a few years at home with our boys while I took classes to earn my Master’s degree. I then worked as the Math Professional Development Coordinator for Minot Public Schools for 2 years and taught a math course for students studying to become elementary teachers at Minot State for a year. I started teaching 4th grade in Burlington a seven years ago and couldn’t be happier! I love working with kids (especially fourth graders)! When I’m not teaching I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors working in the yard or garden, and relaxing at the lake.
I am married to Dan and we have two amazing sons, Scott and Kyle. Dan works at Dakota Fire Extinguisher, Scott attends NDSU, and Kyle is a Junior at Our Redeemers.
